Ranchi, March 25: Jharkhand Governor C.P.Radhakrishnan has stressed upon the need of a collaborative effort from all stakeholders for a healthcare system accessible, affordable and sustainable to all.

Addressing the inaugural session of PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industries (PHDCI) Jharkhand Health Care Summit at a city hotel here, he said, “Healthcare of individuals requires a collaborative effort from all stakeholders, including governments, healthcare providers, and insurance companies and individuals. By working together, we can build a healthcare system that is accessible, affordable and sustainable for all.”

He said they should ensure the good health and wellbeing of the community and wish that no one in our State of Jharkhand suffers due to lack of facilities. “Facilities should be made available at an affordable cost,” he said.

He, on the occasion, highlighted the efforts being made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure cost effective health facilities.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Yojana to ensure medical treatment is made available to the weakest section of society. You should give top priority to such schemes and ensure that the benefit of the schemes should reach the most eligible citizen of the country,” he said.

“Under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), Jan Aushadhi stores are working at length and breadth of our nation. This initiative makes available quality drugs at affordable prices through dedicated stores selling generic medicines that are available at lesser prices but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs. The quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines are ensured by getting each batch of medicines procured from CPSUs as well as private suppliers tested from NABL approved laboratories and conforming to the required standards,” he further added.
