New Delhi: Heavy rain lashed the National Capital on Thursday morning, leading to severe waterlogging and widespread traffic congestion across several parts of Delhi. Areas like Mehrauli-Badarpur Road and Dhaula Kuan were particularly affected, with vehicles struggling to navigate through the waterlogged streets.

Visuals from Mehrauli-Badarpur Road show vehicles wading through deep water, causing significant slowdowns and forcing commuters to endure challenging conditions. The Parade Road Underpass in Delhi Cantonment was also heavily waterlogged, adding to the city’s traffic woes.

The downpour, which began early Thursday, followed a night of continuous rainfall across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). On Wednesday, the city had already experienced heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, further exacerbating the situation.

The waterlogging in key areas has severely disrupted traffic, with commuters facing long delays and vehicles finding it difficult to cross inundated roads. The situation has led to frustration among residents as they navigate the city’s flooded streets.
