Ranchi: Following the demise of Jharkhand movement pioneer and tribal identity icon Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has once again expressed his deep grief. Taking to social media on Wednesday morning, he shared a heartfelt message, calling Nemra—their ancestral village—a witness to the revolutionary sacrifices of his family.
‘Nemra Holds the Echo of Every Revolutionary Step’
At around 9:40 AM, Hemant Soren posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) along with his image in Nemra. He wrote, “This revolutionary and valiant land of Nemra bears testimony to the martyrdom of my grandfather and the immense struggles of my father.” He added that the forests, streams, and hills of Nemra have heard every echo of the revolution and preserved every step and sacrifice of that journey. “I bow to this revolutionary land of Nemra,” he concluded.
At the end of the post, he wrote: “Long live the martyr Sona Sobran Manjhi. Long live the creator of Jharkhand state, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.”
Loss of a State Creator Leaves a Deep Void
Shibu Soren dedicated his life to the fight for tribal rights and the formation of Jharkhand. His journey began from Nemra village, from where he took on the mantle of both social and political leadership. His death marks not only a personal loss for his family but the end of an era. Condolences continue to pour in from across the country, with several political and social organizations holding remembrance meetings to honor his legacy.
