Mumbai, Jan 6: The Customs authorities at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai have seized cocaine and heroin amounting to more than Rs 32 crore in two separate cases, said an official on Friday.
Customs officials said that the 4.47 kg of heroin worth Rs 31.29 crore was hidden in document folder covers while 1.596 kg of cocaine worth Rs 15.96 crore was hidden in the buttons of the clothes.
“We launched a drive against drugs smuggling and busted this racket,” said the official.

The accused has been found violating the provisions of Section 8 of the NDPS Act and committed an offence punishable under Sections 21, 23 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
As per information, the accused was arrested, said an official, adding that the drugs were seized along with concealing material under Section 43(a) of the NDPS Act.
Further investigation is underway.
