Deoghar, Oct 29: The Income Tax Department (I-T) is conducting raids at many places in Deoghar today. Different IT teams have started investigating at various places.
It is being told these raids are going on at the house of Brajesh Rai, who is involved in the land business. It is known that Brajesh Rai has recently opened a new hospital in the name of his father, just in front of Narendra Bhawan near Jasidih Chakai Turn. Brajesh Rai is a resident of Jasidih Nokhil.
After working in an NGO, he came in contact with a famous liquor businessman of the state and then started helping him in every way. After this, as the contacts increased, the land businessman started trying his hands in the land business.
According to the information, a large I-T contingent is in Deoghar and raids are going on at many places. A team from Dhanbad, Asansol as well as from other centres are carrying out the raids.
