Islamabad, April 14: Imran Khan, the former Pakistani prime minister, has warned his political opponents that he was not dangerous when he was in power, but that he will be dangerous now.

He said while addressing a rally that he will never accept an imported administration and that the rallies in Pakistan are indicative of what the people want.

“Those who had hatched the conspiracy were very happy that I was ousted from the government. I was not dangerous when I was part of the government, but I will be more dangerous now,” he said.

Khan further stated during his address that the Pakistani people will not accept Shehbaz Sharif as Prime Minister since he is facing corruption charges worth Rs 40,000 crore.

“During my 25 years of politics, I have never provoked the public against state institutions or the judiciary because my life and death is in Pakistan. I ask you, what crime had I exactly committed that you opened up the courts at midnight?” he questioned the judiciary.

The Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has demanded the judiciary to explain why it opened its doors at midnight on Saturday, only hours before he was deposed as Prime Minister following a successful no-confidence resolution in the National Assembly.

Notably, after a high-stakes political thriller in the National Assembly, the Supreme Court overturned the Deputy Speaker’s decision to reject an opposition-sponsored no-confidence motion against the ruling PTI-led coalition. With this, Imran Khan has become the first Prime Minister of Pakistan to lose a no-trust vote in the National Assembly.
