New Delhi: IAF pilot and ISRO’s new astronaut Subhanshu Shukla is scheduled to travel to space on June 19. ISRO has officially confirmed the new launch date for the Ax-04 mission, which was earlier postponed indefinitely. The mission will lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This is a joint mission involving Axiom Space, SpaceX, and ISRO.
Subhanshu Shukla To Join Elite List Of Indian Astronauts
Once launched, Subhanshu Shukla will become one of the select few Indians to travel to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission had previously faced delays due to a liquid oxygen leakage issue in the Falcon 9 rocket, which SpaceX engineers have now resolved. A crucial meeting between ISRO, Axiom Space, and SpaceX reviewed all technical aspects before giving final clearance for the mission.
Indian Experiments And Collaborative Research
During the mission, Subhanshu Shukla will conduct seven scientific experiments designed by Indian scientists. He will also participate in joint research projects with NASA. This mission marks a significant step for India’s expanding role in international space exploration.
