IAS officers get responsibilities for President Murmu’s Jharkhand visit

Ranchi, Nov 7: Jharkhand Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Department on Monday issued an order distributing responsibilities related to smooth facilitation of President Draupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to the state for its foundation day on November 15.

The President will visit Khunti district and be in Ranchi on November 14 and 15. Many IAS officers, including secretaries of various departments, have been given various duties for the arrival of the President.

The work of the officers is to ensure all necessary preparations at the designated venues while coordinating with various departments and districts.

These officers got the responsibilities:

Manish Ranjan, Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation:

  • To take the audio visual clips being prepared by the Public Relations Department for the launch of the scheme from the concerned departments and prepare them for the performance of AV clips on 15th November.
  • Conducting media related activities and putting up of program hoardings, banners, electronic advertisements, ensuring crowd control.

Prashant Kumar, Secretary, Water Resources Department

  • Ensuring all necessary arrangements at Morhabadi ground (event venue).

K.Srinivasan, Secretary, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department

  • To coordinate the programs organized in Khunti and its Central Tribal Ministry, Government.

Umashankar Singh, director of the Directorate of Land Acquisition, Land Records and Perimeter

  • Assisting the Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department in protocol related works

Amit Kumar, Director, Department of Mines and Geology

  • Preparation of list of proposed plans for inauguration and foundation laying on 15th November.

Rajeshwari B, MGNREGA commissioner

  • Preparation of list of beneficiaries in coordination with the respective districts (Ranchi and Khunti).
  • Doing dress rehearsals and other preparations while selecting the beneficiaries to come on stage.
