New Delhi, Aug 10: Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav maintained his second place in the recent ICC T20 rankings, which were revealed on Wednesday, while Shreyas Iyer rose six spots to 19th.

In the batting rankings, where Pakistan’s Babar Azam is ranked first with 805 points, Suryakumar is the best-placed Indian. Iyer, who had a quiet performance in the first four games of the just finished series against West Indies, had struck a 40-ball 64 in the final T20, has 578 points.

Spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav also experienced significant rises in the ranks among bowlers.

Kuldeep, who got a three-wicket haul in the final game, jumped 58 places to 87th, while 21-year-old Bishnoi galloped 50 spots to claim 44th place after taking six wickets in two matches of the T20I series against the Windies.

However, despite having a strong performance in the West Indies, veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar slid to ninth place.

Reeza Hendricks of South Africa, who scored 74 and 42 in a 2-0 series victory over Ireland, is the top riser in the T20 rankings. Keshav Maharaj, a spinner from South Africa, moves up ten spots to 18th place among bowlers, while fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Lockie Ferguson from South Africa and New Zealand also rise up the rankings.

The No. 1 T20I batter ranking has remained with Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, while the best bowler and all-around player are still Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi.
