IMA Dhanbad to hold annual conference after seven years tomorrow

Eminent doctors of Kolkata, Ranchi, Dhanbad to shed light on various medical issues and topics

Dhanbad, April 30: Specialist doctors of Kolkata, Ranchi and Dhanbad will shed light on different complications in a day-long deliberation in the annual conference of the Indian Medical Association Dhanbad chapter tomorrow.

This is the first medical conference of the IMA Dhanbad chapter after 7 years. The last time, it was held in 2015.

IMA Dhanbad chapter president Dr Major Chandan said that over 250 specialist doctors will participate in the vent. Besides district and Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital’s doctors, eminent physicians of Kolkata Dr Chandrani Mallick, Dr Reena of Kolkata, and doctors of Ranchi and Ramgarh will also shed light on different complications.

In the first session, Dr Naushad Alam will talk about the challenging cases in routine paediatric practice, Dr Sujit Kumar on common ENT problems, Dr Naresh Prasad on referred pain, Dr Jayanti Kashyap on keeping the eye safe, Dr K S Naraya on diagnosis and Management, Dr Divyadeep Sandhu on Psychiatric problem and Dr Jhulan Mukherjee on death on the arrival of patients.

In the second session, Dr Avinash Kumar will discuss the primary management of a sick child, Dr Avinash Kumar on pre-anaesthesia evaluation protocol, Dr VN Gupta on the management of headache, Dr Renu Upadhyay on foetal medicines, Dr VSV Prasad on diabetes in pregnancy, Dr Ashis Bajaj on osteoarthritis and Dr Suraj Chouhan will talk about cardiac death.

In the third session, Dr Nitesh of Ranchi and Dr Sanjay Kumar will share their experience in the management of brain stroke.

The fourth session will have Dr Shams Tabrez shedding light on PTDB, Dr Tapan Kumar on Duodenal ulcers, Dr Sunil Kumar on hernia repair, Dr Kunal Kishore on cervical injuries and Dr Yash Singh on the modality for spinal fractures would share the experience.

Besides these doctors Dr Major Chandan, IMA secretary Dr Sushil Kumar, Dr Manjit Singh Sandhu, medical-legal expert Dr MS Bhatt, Dr Sadhna and Dr Santwana Sharan of Ramgarh would also share their experiences on different complications.

Organizing committee member Dr Rakesh Inder Singh said that IMA state president Dr AK Singh, secretary Dr Pradip Kumar Singh and JHSA secretary Dr Bimlesh Singh would also attend the conference.
