Ranchi, Nov 4: The Income tax department is said to have started a search and survey operation against a couple of politicians of the UPA ruling alliance in Jharkhand.
As per the information both are from the Congress, and they are said to be the MLA. At least one of them is connected with the coal trade and had played a key role in the cash for MLAs case. The IT team is learnt to have reached their residence in Ranchi. Similar searches are apparently taking place in their native districts also.
Preliminary information suggest that TI search is being taken against many other persons in the matter related to tax evasion and others. This includes one Shiv Shankar Yadav.
