New Delhi, Feb 11: In a breathtaking rearguard action, Axar Patel scored 84 as India amassed 400. Just before the lunch break, the all-rounder was fired. Early in the day’s play, Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed for 70, while Todd Murphy concluded with 7 wickets. India scores 223 runs in the first inning to grab the lead.

Earlier, after visiting captain Pat Cummins decided to bat first, India had bowled Australia out for 177. With a five-wicket haul, Ravindra Jadeja had stood out during the innings. Todd Murphy claimed seven wickets but lacked an equally good support from the other bowlers.
