New Delhi, Feb 19: Rohit Sharma is solid at one end in the third innings of the second Test despite losing KL Rahul early in their pursuit of 115 runs against Australia at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Cheteshwar Pujara has joined Rohit in the middle. Earlier, the hosts bowled out Australia for 113 runs with a seven-wicket haul from Ravindra Jadeja and three wickets from Ravichandran Ashwin.

As play resumed on Sunday with a score of 61 for 1, Australia lost wickets steadily as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin combined to wreak havoc. India’s goal to win the match is 115 runs because Australia, who had 263 runs in their first innings, had gained a one-run lead.

In the four-test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Travis Head (43) scored the most points for the visitors, who are down 1-0. Ravindra Jadeja (7-42) and Ravichandran Ashwin (3-59), two spinners for India, split the 10 wickets.
