New Delhi, Nov 11: The three T20 and two Test series between India and New Zealand is going to start from November 17. BCCI has announced a 16-man squad for the T20 series. After leaving the captaincy of Virat Kohli, now Rohit Sharma has been made the new T20 captain. Although the Test team has not been selected yet.
Now, according to reports, Rohit Sharma has sought rest from the BCCI for the entire Test series. Virat Kohli will also not be available for the first Test match to be played in Kanpur. In addition to this, Jasprit Bumrah can also be given rest for the entire series. Now, a big question arises as to who will captain the first Test match.
In Kohli’s absence, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has so far been seen captaining the Test team, once again the claim Ajinkya Rahane for the captaincy has become very strong.
Notably, the first match of the T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played in Jaipur on November 17, Ranchi on November 19 and the last match on November 21 in Kolkata. The Test series will begin on November 25 and the first Test will be played in Kanpur. Whereas the second Test will be held in Mumbai from December 3 to December 7.
