Ind vs SA,1st Test: Rain delays start of play of Day 2

Centurion, Dec 27: The game of second day in the first test of the three-match series against South Africa is delayed due to rain at the SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Batting first, India has added 272-3 on the board and Rahul will resume on the second morning with Ajinkya Rahane (40*). The pair have added 73 runs for the fourth wicket and will resume their innings from the overnight scores of 122 (Rahul) and 40 (Rahane).

“I mean, it is truly special; every hundred really takes something out of you and gives you a lot of joy. There are so many emotions you go through when you score a hundred. You play and fight for 6-7 hours’ those are the kind of innings that really stand out and as players, we really cherish these,” KL Rahul said on his century.

“Really happy that I could stay there not out, and it is what is expected out of me. Once I and Mayank got off to a good start, I started enjoying my batting, and I did not think too far ahead,” he added.
