Dharamsala, Feb 27: After securing a comprehensive win against Sri Lanka in the second T20I, India will aim to complete a series whitewash. Currently, India is on a winning streak after securing wins in their last 11 t20I matches. Their last defeat came back in October last year against New Zealand during the T20 World Cup in Dubai.
With the series in the bag, India will look to try out new players and give rest to some of the usual ones. Ishan Kishan, who suffered a blow on his head during the second T20I, will most probably miss the dead rubber. Mayank Agarwal is likely to play in place of Kishan.
Sri Lanka is missing their star player Wanindu Hasaranga who is currently recovering from covid. Their off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana is also out from the series due to a hamstring injury.
Shreyas Iyer has been India’s top performer in the series so far by scoring 131 (57 & 74*) in two matches. Ravindra Jadeja has been in good form since his comeback in the team.
The third T20I will be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium at Dharamsala.
