Kolkata, Feb 20: When the two teams meet in the third T20I at Eden Gardens, India has a chance to make it three straight clean sweeps over the West Indies. After defeating West Indies 3-0 in the last ODI series, India took a 2-0 lead in the series with a thrilling eight-run triumph on Friday.
In the second T20I at Eden Gardens on Friday, India’s fast bowlers held off a sensational, no-holds-barred onslaught from West Indies to win by eight runs and establish an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell scored 100 runs in 60 balls in Kieron Pollard’s 100th T20I, bringing West Indies from a seemingly hopeless situation to within a whisker of victory.
India are expected to make substantial adjustments now that the series is over and Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been released from the bio-bubble.
