India logs 21,411 new Covid-19 cases, 67 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi, July 23: In the past 24 hours, India saw 21,411 new instances of Covid-19, 2.1% fewer than the day before. As of now, 4,38,68,476 instances have been reported, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

With 67 new fatalities reported in the nation during the same period, the death toll increased to 5,25,997.

According to the data, there were 1,50,100 active cases in the nation. The number of active cases rose by 618 over the previous day.

Maharashtra leads the top five states in terms of the number of cases reported, with 2,515, followed by Kerala with 2,477, West Bengal with 2,237, Tamil Nadu with 2,033, and Karnataka with 1,562.

50.57 percent of all new cases originate in these five states, with Maharashtra alone accounting for 11.75 percent.

In the past 24 hours, 20,726 patients have recovered altogether, bringing the national total of recoveries to 4,31,92,379 people. The recovery rate in India was 98.46%.

In the past 24 hours, India administered a total of 34,93,209 doses, bringing the overall number of doses administered to 2,01,68,14,771.

4,80,202 samples in total were evaluated in the last 24 hours.
