New Delhi, Feb 19: India’s Covid-19 tally rose to 4,28,02,505 on Saturday, with 22,270 more people testing positive for the viral disease, while the number of active cases fell to 2,53,739, bringing the total to 4,28,02,505.
According to data updated by the Union Health Ministry at 8 a.m., the death toll had risen to 5,11,230, including 325 new fatalities.
For the past 13 days, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country has stayed below one lakh.
The active cases account for 0.59 percent of the total infections with 2,53,739 cases. According to the ministry, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 98.21%.
Over the course of 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload was reduced by 38,353 cases.
The daily positivity rate was 1.80 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 2.50 percent, according to the ministry.
The number of patients who have been cured of the condition has increased to 4,20,37,536. According to the report, the case mortality rate was 1.19 percent.
The total number of doses given out in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has surpassed 175.03 crore.
