New Delhi, Nov.23: India reported 7,579 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in 543 days, according to the data released by the Union Health Ministry. India’s active caseload now stands at 1,13,584, the lowest level in 536 days.
Active cases account for fewer than 1% of total cases in the country, and it is now at 0.33 percent, the lowest level since March 2020.
According to the health ministry, the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has surpassed 117 crore.
The daily rise in new coronavirus cases has been below 20,000 for 46 days in a row and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 149 consecutive days now.
Until 7 p.m. on Monday, more than 63 lakh (63,98,165) vaccine doses had been delivered to the recipients, according to the report.
