India logs 8,309 new Covid cases, 236 fatalities in last 24 hours

New Delhi, Nov.29: In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 8,309 new Covid-19 cases, down 5.3 percent from yesterday. This takes the total number of cases to 3,458,0832.

Throughout the previous 24 hours, 236 deaths have been registered in the country, bringing the overall number of deaths to 4,68,790.

Kerala leads the way with 4,350 cases, followed by Maharashtra (832 cases), Tamil Nadu (736 cases), West Bengal (715 cases), and Karnataka (315 cases). These five states account for 83.62 percent of all new cases, with Kerala accounting for 52.35 percent of all new cases.

Kerala had the highest number of deaths (159), followed by Maharashtra (33).

India’s recovery rate has already reached 98.34%. In the last 24 hours, 9,905 patients have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,40,08,183 across the country.

The number of active cases in India is 1,03,859 which has decreased by 1,832 in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, India has administered a total of 42,04,171 vaccine doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,22,41,68,929. In the previous 24 hours, a total of 7,62,268 samples for Covid-19 were analysed.
