New Delhi, Oct.30: India has reported 14,313 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours,, down 0.2 percent from yesterday. Meanwhile, Kerala remains the worst-affected state, with 7,722 new infections, accounting for 53.95 percent of all new cases.
549 new fatalities were reported in the country, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,57,740. The total number of deaths in India is now 3,42,60,470.
Kerala has the most cases (7,722), followed by Maharashtra (1,338 cases), Tamil Nadu (1,039 cases), West Bengal (982 cases), and Mizoram (692 cases).
These five states account for 82.25 percent of new cases, with Kerala alone accounting for 53.95 percent.
Kerala had the most casualties, with 471 new deaths each day, followed by Maharashtra with 36 daily deaths.
The recovery rate in India is now at 98.19 percent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 13,543 patients have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,36,41,175 across the country.
