New Delhi, June 26: India reported 11,739 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,33,89,973, while the number of active cases increased to 92,576, according to data published on Sunday by the Union Health Ministry.
The figures updated at 8 am showed that the death toll increased to 5,24,999 with 25 new fatalities.
The government reported that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.58%, while the active cases make up 0.21 percent of all infections. In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 797 cases in the COVID-19 active caseload.
According to the ministry, the weekly positivity rate was 3.25 percent, and the daily positivity rate was 2.59 percent.
The government reports that as of today, 197.08 crore doses of the COVID vaccine have been distributed around the nation as part of the COVID-19 vaccination push.
