New Delhi, July 19: India registered 16,935 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,37,67,534, and the daily positive rate was above 6% after 161 days, according to data from the Union Health Ministry updated on Monday.
The data updated at 8 am showed that there are now 1,44,264 active cases and 5,25,760 deaths, including 51 additional fatalities.
The government reported that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.47 percent, while the active cases make up 0.33 percent of all infections.
In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 815 cases in the COVID-19 active caseload. The daily positivity rate was 6.48 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was also that high.
A total of 86.96 crore tests for detection of COVID-19 have been conducted so far with 2,61,470 tests being in conducted in the last 24 hours.
