New Delhi, Jan 18: India reported 2,38,018 new Covid-19 cases and 310 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Ministry of Health on Tuesday morning.
The newly reported cases are around 20,000 less than the day before and with this, the country’s active caseload presently stands at 17,36,628. while the recovery rate is now at 94.09 per cent.
India also register 310 deaths due to the infection over the past 24 hours which is less than yesterday’s 385. With 1.57 lakh recoveries over the past 24 hours, the total number of recoveries in the country reaches to over 3 crore.
Meanwhile, Country’s Omicron tally reaches to 8,891. Under the nationwide covid-19 vaccination drive, over 158 crore doses have been administered so far in the country. A total of 16.49 lakh samples were tested over the past 24 hours, 3.35 lakh more than the previous day, said the Ministry of Health.
