New Delhi, July 24: India reported 20,279 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is 5.3% lower than the previous day. As of right now, 4,38,88,755 instances have been reported, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
36 more fatalities were recorded throughout the nation during the same period, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,26,033. According to the data, there were 1,52,200 active cases in the nation. Active cases climbed by 2,100 over the past day.
Maharashtra leads the list of states with the most instances reported with 2,336; it is followed by Kerala with 2,252; Tamil Nadu with 2,014; West Bengal with 1,844; and Karnataka with 1,456.
With Maharashtra alone accounting for 11.52 percent of new cases, these five states account for 48.83 percent of all new cases.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 18,143 patients have recovered altogether, bringing the national total of recoveries to 4,32,10,522. The recovery rate in India was 98.46%. In the past 24 hours, India administered a total of 28,83,489 doses, bringing the overall number of doses administered to 2,01,99,33,453. In addition to this, 4,80,202 samples in total were evaluated in the last 24 hours.
