India reports 20,409 fresh Covid cases, 47 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi, July 29: India reported 20,409 new Covid cases on Friday, a little decline from the previous day but still above the 20,000 threshold. A total of 43, 979,730 instances have been reported across the nation.

Data from the Union Health Ministry show that there are 1,43,988 active cases in the nation, or 0.33 percent of all cases. In the past 24 hours, 47 deaths have been confirmed. 5,26,258 people have died in India as a whole.

The nation now has a recovery rate of 98.48%. India has vaccinated more than 200 crore people against Covid-19 (2,03,60,46,307). 38,63,960 individuals have received the vaccination doses over the past 24 hours.

A total of 3.88 crore and 2.76 crore individuals in the 12–14 age range had received their first and second doses, respectively. First doses have been administered to more than 6.11 crore individuals in the 15–18 age range, and second doses to more than 5.09 crore. People over 60, healthcare professionals, and frontline employees have received over 5.02 crore precautionary doses, and people between the ages of 18 and 59 have received over 3.42 crore doses.

In the meantime, 3,98,761 Covid-19 tests have been run throughout the course of the last 24 hours.
