New Delhi, Feb 14: India reported 34,113 fresh Covid cases today, 24% down from yesterday. The positivity rate rose marginally to 3.19%.
The rate of infections has been progressively falling in most Indian states after a month-long spike in Covid cases, headed by the new variety Omicron.
The number of active cases in India is presently 4,78,882. The number of active cases has gone below 5 lakh for the first time in 37 days.
In India, active cases account for 1.12% of all infections.
The current recovery rate is 97.68 percent. In the last 24 hours, there have been 91,930 recoveries.
The daily positivity rate in India is 3.19 percent. The optimism rate for the week is 3.99 percent.
With 346 more deaths, the total number of people who have died has risen to 5,09,011.
In the previous 24 hours, 10,67,908 Covid tests were performed.
Since the beginning of the national immunisation effort in January 2020, India has administered 172.95 crore vaccine doses.
