Indian Head of Missions visit Ramgarh, meet gold craftsmen

Ramgarh, Oct 18: The High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Rwanda Oscar Kerketta and Ambassador of India to the Republic of Mali Anjani Kumar visited Ramgarh on Tuesday.

They first met the gold craftsmen of the Silver Jewellery Cluster in Sukrigada village under the Chitarpur block.

Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra informed the commissioners about the work being done by the artisans in the Silver Jewellery Cluster and under the SFURTI Project (Scheme of Fund for Upgradation and Regeneration of Traditional Industry).

The commissioners appreciated the work being done in the workshop of gold craftsmen by taking information from the artisans about the work being done under jewellery making. They also encouraged the artisans to do more good work in the field of jewellery making.

They also visited Kedla Madhya Panchayat under Mandu Block and observed pond digging works under Mission Amrit Sarovar on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsava. The DC informed them about other works including pond construction, and pond digging in other areas of Ramgarh district under Mission Amrit Sarovar to conserve rainwater and raise the groundwater level.

Notably, The Indian Head of Mission (HoMs) High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda, Oscar Kerketta and Ambassador of India to the Republic of Mali Anjani Kumar visited Jharkhand on Monday and met Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh to discuss the collaboration in the investment and export potential of the state.
