New Delhi, Oct 3: The president of Indonesia’s Arema Football Club on Monday apologised over the stadium tragedy that left 125 dead at the weekend. President Gilang Widya Pramana said he was ready to take full responsibility for the incident.

At least 125 people were killed in a football storm in the Indonesian city of Malang over the weekend, officials said, in one of the world’s worst stadium disasters.

“I, as the president of Arema FC, will take full responsibility for the incident that occurred. I deeply apologise to the victims, their families, all Indonesians, and Liga 1,” he said in a tearful TV address.
