Delhi Capitals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL-2021) Phase-2 on Wednesday. At the end of Phase-1, Delhi’s team was at number-1 in the points table with 12 points from 8 matches. At the same time, Hyderabad’s team was in the last place with 2 points from 7 matches. As in the first match of Phase-2, Chennai defeated Mumbai and snatched first place from Delhi, in this match Delhi has a chance to regain its number 1 position.

Before the start of Phase I, Shreyas Iyer had injured his shoulder in the match against England. Now he is back in the team after getting fit. His presence will strengthen Delhi’s batting. Also, Delhi have a very successful opening pair in the form of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan. The presence of skipper Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer makes the batting of this team extremely dangerous.

In the last season of IPL, the pair of Kagiso Rabada and Enrich Nortya of South Africa was very successful. Together they took 52 wickets in the 2020 IPL, but Nortya did not get a chance in Phase-1 of 2021. Now with the return of Iyer, Delhi’s team can include extra fast bowlers. In such a situation, the pair of Nortya and Rabada can be seen together again.

Interestingly, T Natarajan took 16 wickets in the 2020 season played in the UAE itself, but due to injury, he could not play in Phase-1 of this season. Now Natarajan is fit and his return will make Hyderabad’s bowling sharp. Along with Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma can handle Hyderabad’s fast bowling front. Jason Holder could be the fourth fast bowler. However, Mohammad Nabi can also be tried in his place.

Star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also has a chance to complete 250 wickets in T20 cricket. For this he needs only 1 wicket. Notably, So far only two Indian bowlers Amit Mishra and Piyush Chawla have taken more than 250 wickets in this format. Both have 262-262 wickets on their name.
