IPL 2022: RCB to face KKR today

In IPL, both teams faced each other 29 times; Kolkata won in 16 matches, Bangalore won in 13

Mumbai, March 30: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the sixth match of the Indian Premier League’s 2022 season (IPL). Both of these teams will come into this match having had dissimilar fortunes in their respective tournament openers and now face each other on Wednesday at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

The Kolkata Knight Riders kicked off their season with a six-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, was defeated in a high-scoring match by the Punjab Kings by 5 wickets.

CSK batted first in the KKR vs CSK match and posted a score of 131-5. CSK has been losing wickets since the start of the game, hitting a low of 61-5 at one point. Later, MS Dhoni smashed an unbroken 50 and Ravindra Jadeja hit an unbeaten 26, bringing the team’s total to 131-5.

KKR eventually won the match by 6 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane led the team with 44 runs. Umesh Yadav took two wickets and was named player of the match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore was defeated by Punjab Kings by 5 wickets in their first match. RCB batted first and amassed a massive score of 205-5 throughout the match. In the contest, Faf du Plessis smashed an 88-run knock.

For Punjab, Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 43 runs each. In addition to this, Shahrukh Khan unbeaten 24 while Odean Smith unbeaten 25 helped them to win the match by 5 wickets.

RCB will be led by their new skipper Faf du Plessis while Shreyas Iyer will lead Kolkata Knight Riders in the match.
