Patna, March 10: The Enforcement Directorate conducted a raid at ex-RJD MLA and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s aide Syed Abu Dojana’s premises at Phulwari Sharif in Patna in connection with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam.

The issue involves allegations of corruption including the acceptance of land instead of employment with the Indian Railways. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) asserts that during Lalu Prasad’s tenure as the railways minister of Bihar from 2004 to 2009, he received financial benefits in the form of land transfers to his family members in exchange for the appointment of replacements to Group “D” posts in various railway zones.
