Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially announced the schedule and examination pattern for the Class 10 board examinations 2026. The exams will be conducted from February 3 to February 17, 2026, using a combined question-cum-answer booklet system instead of separate OMR sheets.

Exam Schedule and Timing

The examinations will be held daily from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. Students will be provided an additional 15 minutes before the start of the exam to read the question paper. All answers, including multiple-choice questions, must be written directly in the answer booklet.

Revised Examination Pattern

Under the new assessment structure, 30 percent of the marks will be allotted to multiple-choice questions, 50 percent to short and long answer questions, and the remaining 20 percent will be based on internal assessment. This pattern aims to balance objective testing with descriptive evaluation.

Practical and Viva Examinations

Practical and viva examinations will be conducted between February 24 and March 7, 2026. School principals will be able to download admit cards from the official JAC website. Students are advised to collect their admit cards on time and carefully verify all exam-related details to avoid last-minute issues.
