Mumbai, Dec 8: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Wednesday appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its office in Delhi in connection with Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Earlier, ED asked her to be present at the office by 11 am on December 8 as her questioning is significant in the case as a witness in the alleged multi-crore extortion case.
Notably, the actor had earlier skipped various summons issued by the agency citing different reasons. Following this, on Sunday, ED officials stopped Jacqueline at the Mumbai airport preventing her from flying abroad.
Earlier, the ED has questioned Fernandez in August and recorded her statement. It had alleged that Chandrashekhar had given the actor numerous costly gifts, including Persian cat and a horse. He is accused of cheating some people, including some high-profile individuals.
Another actor, Nora Fatehi was also questioned by the agency in connection with the same case.
