New Delhi, Sept 19: Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Monday appeared before the Economic Offences Wing in connection with an investigation related to an extortion case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
She had already been called in for questioning by Delhi Police once before for her alleged involvement in the case. According to earlier reports, Fernandez has been called to attend the investigation at the office on Mandir Marg at 11am.

Chandrashekhar offered a motorcycle to Prashant, an agent for Fernandez, on his birthday, but he turned it down, according to the investigation. However, according to prior police reports, Chandrashekhar left the two-wheeler and its keys at Prashant’s house. The vehicle was impounded.
Currently incarcerated Chandrashekhar is suspected of defrauding numerous people, including prominent figures like Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.
In a charge sheet submitted on August 17, the Enforcement Directorate named Fernandez as a defendant in a high-profile money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar.
The ED claims that he gave Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, another Bollywood actor, extravagant presents and fancy cars.
