New Delhi, Sept 26: In the Rs 200 crore money laundering case against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Jacqueline Fernandez was given provisional release. The actor was granted interim bail by the Patiala House Court in Delhi, with a 50,000 rupee bond. The next date of hearing in the 200 crore money laundering case is October 22.
She had previously been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is looking into the Sukesh case, for eight hours. After the investigation agency submitted a charge sheet on August 17 listing the actor as an accused party in the case, this occurred.
Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik sought a response from the ED on the bail plea. Till then her regular bail is pending before the court. On the request of Jacqueline’s lawyer, the court granted interim bail to Jacqueline on a bail bond of Rs 50,000.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar allegedly gave the actor jewellery worth more than Rs 7 crore. Additionally, he allegedly sent the actor and her family members a number of high-end vehicles, pricey bags, outfits, shoes, and watches.
