JCECEB to take exam for bridge course program for community health officer

Ranchi, June 23: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will organize the examination for 810 backlog vacant posts of Community Health Officer (CHO).

To enrol in the 6-month Bridge Course programme, candidates will have to clear an entrance test. Candidates who have passed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) with two years of working experience in the health sector will be able to appear in the exam. There will be multiple choice questions in the online exam for 100 marks.

The questions will be related to the syllabus of GNM and BMS. Questions will be asked in Hindi and English.

Out of the seats earmarked for Scheduled Tribes quota, a minimum of 2% of seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to the primitive tribe group. There is also reservation for economically weaker sections. At the same time, 2% of the total number will be reserved for sports quota. 4% of the total number of vacancies will be reserved for PwDs.

Category-wise reservations are as follows:-

Unreserved Category: 253

Economically Weaker Section of Citizens: 81

Scheduled Tribe Category: 172

Scheduled Caste Category: 184

Backward Class-I Category: 58

Backward Class-II Category: 62
