Jharia Division pays  rich tributes to Sir Dorabji Tata on 162nd birth anniversary

Dhanbad Aug 27: Tata Steel Jharia Division on Friday paid rich tributes to its first Chairman Sir Dorabji Tata on his 162nd Birth Anniversary at Sir Dorabji Tata Park Jamadoba.

In the function organized on the occasion at Sir Dorabji Park, Tata Steel Jharia Division general manager Sanjay Rajoria, along with senior officials, staff and employees representatives of the division paid floral tributes to the first chairman of Tata Steel.

Sir Dorabji Park at Jamdova which is named in honour of the first chairman, is centre of attraction for the coal belt for its picturesque and varieties of flowers.

While addressing to Tata Steel Jharia division officers and employees at the Park, Rajoria recalled the milestone and achievement of Sir Dorabji Tata’s life and sought the commitment of officers and employees to his ( Dorabji) vision and values, which continue to remain relevant even today.

Mayank Sekhar, chief, Jamadoba group of Jharia Division, Tata Steel, Debashis Banerjee, chief of (HRBP) Jharia Division, Tata Steel, Vinay V Mahashabde, chief of research & development and product technology, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur,  Santosh Mahto, regional secretary (Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh), Col. Bhawani Singh Nirwan, head, administration, Jharia Division, Tata Steel and a host of officers, Union representatives and employees of the Jharia Division Steel also paid tributes to the first chairman of Tata Steel.
