Ranchi, March 26: A three-day national conference by All India Tanzeem-e-Insaf is being organised at Loyola Training Centre with regard to religious persecution, education, unity and integrity of the minorities.

Vibhuti Narayan Rai, former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh and former Vice Chancellor Vidya Vishwavidyalaya addressed the people about raising voice for the rights of the downtrodden and minorities.

“The current government has spoiled the peace and harmony of this country. The fire of hatred has spread all around and now we all need to come forward to extinguish it,” he said.

He added that till the oppressed minorities get proper education, they will be left behind and crushed. He appealed to the downtrodden minorities to educate their children as it is the only way they can build a strong foundation of a better society.

“Due to lack of education, we are lagging behind in the race of political and social progress whereas our rivals are moving ahead. It is a matter of concern. Since the central government has come into power, atrocities have not only taken place on muslims but also on Christians, Dalits, adivasis and women ,” he explained.

He added that on one hand, people are trying to save the constitution whereas on the other, people are flouting the constitution. The government has given such people a free hand and now there is a need for minorities to unite and create a movement.

Iftekhar Mahmood, Secretary, All India Tanzeem Insaf, Jharkhand said that the three day conference is a medium for them to spread awareness and educate the minorities.
