Ranchi: In a significant move to support frontline security personnel, the Jharkhand government has sanctioned ₹4.5 crore under a “Special Compensation Scheme” for police and security force members who have been martyred or seriously injured in incidents of Naxal and extremist violence.

Compensation for bravehearts across forces

The fund allocation, announced by the state’s Department of Home, Jail, and Disaster Management, will benefit police officers, personnel of central paramilitary forces, Special Police Officers (SPOs), Jharkhand Armed Police (SAP), and Home Guard personnel affected by such violence.

Focus on welfare of families

According to an official order issued by the Home Secretary, the ₹4.5 crore allocation is specifically aimed at implementing the Special Compensation Scheme. The initiative seeks to provide financial relief and support to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice or suffered life-altering injuries in the line of duty.
