Tributes were paid to the artists, social workers, litterateurs, politicians and dignitaries who have passed away till this session from the last session.

The list included Lata Mangeshkar, Kamal Kishore Bhagat, Dr. Gaurishankar Rajhans, Mahendra Prasad, Birju Maharaj, Bappi Lahiri, Rahul Bajaj, Praveen Kumar Sobti, Ashutosh Koiri and Kamal Khan among others including Shakuntala Devi, Shanti Bhusan Tirkey, soldiers martyred in Bijapur and Arunachal Pradesh besides others.

Remembering Lata Mangeshkar for her song ‘E Mere Vatan Ke logon’ legislator Pradeep  Yadav said the song was heavier than the salute of 100 cannons to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Indo-China war. He said each word gives life to the people of the country.  Legislator Kamlesh Kumar Singh compared Lata with Saraswati saying he still remembers her in that form. Legislator Saryu Roy while speaking on condolence motion also remembered victims of illegal mining and the mob lynching victim at Hazaribagh.
