Ranchi, Nov 17: Chief Minister Hemant Soren alleged Jharkhand governor Ramesh Bais of being hand in gloves with the conspirators engaged in hatching the conspiracy to topple the democratically elected government in the state.
The CM levelled the charges while addressing the media at his official residence on Kanke Road before leaving for the ED office for questioning in an illegal mining case involving a scam of Rs 1000 crore.
He said the way the governor did not open the envelope sent by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and kept on giving misleading statements suggests that he supported the conspirator though his post is constitutional from where a person is expected to work in an impartial manner.
The CM told a media person that he has sent a letter to the ED explaining how a scam of Rs 1000 crore is not possible in a particular district of the state which is not able to earn that amount of revenue by stone or sand mining from across the state.
He further said that the way central agencies are conducting raids at the locations of UPA MLAs, suggests that the agencies feel that they will leave the country just as several big businessmen left earlier after carrying out scams.
The CM went on to say that a report with him suggests that more raids on UPA MLAs are expected in days to come. He said that the action is being taken at such a time when the state government is working to improve the revenue and pave the path of development.
