Ranchi, Aug.4:

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren today reiterated his commitment to a 1932 Khatiyan based recruitment policy but for the time being, he said,  following the 60:40 recruitment policy is important to prevent youths from being misguided in the name of unemployment.

Soren said his government advertised more than 26000 vacancies and despite following the 60:40 recruitment policy, which was formulated by the previous BJP government, locals’ interest will not get hampered. “60 percent reservation is already there for STs, SCs, OBCs and economically weaker sections. Out of the remaining 40 percent unreserved seats I do not expect occupation of all by outsiders,” Soren said.

Soren said if a job is not provided by adopting the 60:40 policy there is every chance of youths getting misguided and once a youth gets misguided it is a challenging task to bring them back.

The chief minister said the entire problem of recruitment had been created by the former BJP government. He said the union government starts projects and gets closed after some time leaving the burden of government on the state government.

The chief minister presenting data said while the union government pays Rs 600 per cook, the state government tops up the amount by Rs 1400. He also presented a similar data for para teachers, anganwadi sevikas and anganwadi sahayikas explaining how the state government pays a big share of their remuneration.

He during his speech criticized the union government terming it anti-tribal, communal, divisive. During the debate BJP legislators were terming our I.N.D.I.A as East India Company but actually it is their alliance which behaves like East India Company. He said the union government is selling the country’s property like a worthless son.

Expressing his concern over the ruckus by the BJP in the house, the chief minister said the opposition sought a reply on the deteriorating law and order by showing unruly behavior in the house.
