Ranchi, Aug 29: The Higher and Technical Education department is ready to begin the admission process in state private and private-public partnership (PPP) colleges in the first week of September through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB).
The private colleges along with the total number of seats in said colleges include:
- Ramgovind Institute of Technology, Koderma (336)
- Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Bokaro (300)
- RTC Institute of Technology (240)
- BA College of Engineering and Technology (174)
- Nilai Education Trust’s Group of Institutions Thakurgaon, Ranchi (360)
- K K College of Engineering and Management, Dhanbad (420)
Other private colleges include:
- RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur (350)
- CIT Tatisilwai, Ranchi (390)
- DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Palamau (180)
- Maryland Institute of Technology and Management, Jamshedpur (225)
PPP Colleges in the state (300 seats each) that will be opening admissions soon include:
- Dumka Engineering College
- Chaibasa Engineering College
- Ramgarh Engineering College
- Palamu Engineering College
On the other hand, Medical and engineering institutions all over the country are to soon begin admissions as well. Sources have claimed that after September 15, the process of admission in several higher educational institutions will start. Along with this, preparations are being made to complete it within a month i.e. by 20 October. Necessary preparations have been completed in this regard.
Meanwhile, the UGC has indicated to release the results of the Combined University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted for admission to the undergraduate courses of universities by September 15. On the other hand, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it will declare the result of NEET-UG on September 7.
The result of JEE Advanced, conducted for admission to IITs, will also be out on September 11, while JEE Mains result is already out. In such a situation, as soon as the result of CUET comes, the process of admission in all the institutes will start simultaneously.
Along with this, it has been announced to start the counselling to be held for admission in engineering from September 16 itself.
According to the UGC, a plan has been made to expedite the admission process to make up for the loss during Covid and the subsequent lockdown.
Under this, instructions have been given to all higher educational institutions to keep full preparation related to admission. Students have also been asked to keep the documents related to admission ready.
According to the preparations currently in place, the new academic session can be started in higher educational institutions from November. Notably, last year, it started in December.
