A campaign will be launched in 150 blocks and 2518 gram panchayats by the state for the employment of villagers through MNREGA. In order to ensure the participation of more and more families of rural areas, especially women, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the state government along with panchayats, non-government organizations, mass organizations and women’s groups etc. is going to launch this campaign.
Officials of the Rural Development Department said that the campaign “gramino ki aash, mnrega se vikas” will run for four months till December and it will be launched by the Rural Development Minister on 22nd September. For the success of the programme, a committee will be constituted at the block level under the chairmanship of BDO and Deputy Commissioner at the district level and MNREGA at the state level will monitor the campaign. In addition to this, workshops, training, awareness, meetings etc. will also be done to achieve the set target.
The main aim is to increase women participation by 10% but at the same time, the laborers working for 100 days will also be given the benefits of the schemes from the Labor Department. This time old schemes will be completed, new schemes will be worked at a fast speed and the amount will also be recovered after taking action on the financial irregularities found in the social audit.
