Ranchi, August 11: The School Education and Literacy department and the Jharkhand government plan to organise an essay writing competition under the aegis of Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Jharkhand to increase interest in Hindi writing among the students in the state.
This competition is to be organised with the theme of celebrating the 75 years of independence, achievements and challenges.
The title of the essay for this competition is ‘75 Years of Independence Achievements and Challenges’. The essay needs to be completely original and unpublished, for which the author will have to attach a manifesto along with their essay.
The manifesto should have the full address and contact mobile number along with the email of the participant. Entries which do not comply with the criteria will be treated as rejected. In the essay competition, prizes of seven, five and three thousand rupees will be distributed among the first, second and third place winners respectively.
Meanwhile, the theme of the short story should be related to education and society. The three selected works will be given first, second and third prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. Students of class VIII to X will be able to participate in this competition. The short story needs to be completely original and unpublished, for which the author will have to attach a manifesto along with their essay.
The manifesto should have the full address and contact mobile number and email of the participant along with a photocopy of the school’s identity card (updated) through the school department. Entries which do not comply with the criteria will be treated as rejected.
The entries of the above mentioned categories should be sent to the Joint Secretary Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Department of Official Language, Jharkhand Ministry, Project Bhawan, Dhurwa, Ranchi by August 29, 2022.
Entries should be clearly marked ‘Essay writing competition 2022’ or ‘Short story writing competition 2022’ on the top of the envelope. Entries can also be sent to the department’s email id at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The works worthy of the awards will be selected by the evaluators nominated hereby which will be final. If any entry is not found up to the required standard level, the department reserves the right not to award any author.
