Ranchi: As former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM founder Shibu Soren was given a state farewell today, the Jharkhand High Court Advocates’ Association has requested the court not to issue any adverse orders. Due to his funeral procession, many lawyers were unable to reach the court on time, prompting a formal appeal.
Traffic Disruptions Affect Court Attendance
Shibu Soren’s final journey began from his Morhabadi residence to the State Assembly, leading to significant traffic diversions across Ranchi. Acknowledging the disruption, the Advocates’ Association wrote to the Registrar General, requesting Chief Justice not to pass any unfavorable orders in cases listed for July 5, considering the limited presence of advocates.
Official Letter Issued by Association
The appeal letter, jointly signed by the President and General Secretary of the Jharkhand High Court Advocates’ Association, emphasized that in the event of any lawyer’s absence from proceedings, no adverse or ex parte orders should be issued for the day.
