Ranchi, Jan.30: The Jharkhand High Court, after hearing a petition involving the demolition of nine buildings in Deoghar to start a night landing facility at the newly constructed Deoghar Airport, asked the state government and centre to ensure how the building owners will be compensated.
The development took place in the division bench headed by acting chief justice Apresh Kumar Singh. The court asked the question and directed the concerned party to reply to the matter by the next hearing on February 3.
Earlier, the state government informed the court that notices have been issued to the building owners.
The case arose after Godda MP Nishikant Dubey filed a petition saying the smooth operation of Deoghar Airport is obstructed due to the existence of a highrise building contrary to a high court order.
