Ranchi, April 21: The Jharkhand High Court has directed the Saraikela district judge to find the erring officials who are responsible for missing the documents related to court cases.

The high court has given time of two weeks to complete the work and report it to the registrar general.

The direction came when a case related to a land dispute reached before the bench of Justice Ananda Sen and it came into the knowledge of the court that records related to the matter are missing from lower court.

In another incident, the high court refused to stay the process of appointment of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) assistant director.

Justice Rajesh Shanker passed the order after hearing the petition of Aprajita Meena Soren. The court, however, made it clear that the final appointment will be affected by the final order.

The petitioner has urged for stay on the appointment process alleging that JPSC, during the course appointment process, had changed some conditions and rejected the application of many candidates pointing out some mistakes in the certificate.

The court has directed the JPSC to file its reply in the matter and deferred the hearing for four weeks.
